Refund Policy

This policy explains how to cancel your PayTogether Plus subscription and request refunds.

Subscription Overview

PayTogether Plus is available as either a monthly subscription ($2.99/month) or an annual subscription ($29.99/year). Your subscription automatically renews at the end of each billing period unless you cancel.

How to Cancel Your Subscription

You can cancel your PayTogether Plus subscription at any time through the Stripe customer portal, which is accessible from your account settings in the app.

What Happens When You Cancel

  • Immediate Effect: Your subscription is set to cancel at the end of your current billing period.
  • Access Continues: You keep full access to all Plus features until the end of the period you’ve already paid for.
  • Automatic Downgrade: After your billing period ends, your account automatically switches to the Free plan.
  • Favorites: You can choose which 5 favorite transactions to keep active (Free plan limit).
  • No Further Charges: You won’t be billed again unless you resubscribe.

Confirmation

You’ll receive an email confirmation from Stripe when you cancel your subscription.

Refund Policy

Standard Refunds

We offer refunds for PayTogether Plus subscriptions under the following circumstances:

  • Within 7 Days: If you request a refund within 7 days of your initial purchase or renewal, we’ll provide a full refund (full month for monthly subscriptions, full year for annual subscriptions).
  • Billing Errors: If you were charged incorrectly or experienced a technical issue, we’ll refund the incorrect charge.
  • Dissatisfaction: If you’re unhappy with PayTogether Plus for any reason within the first 7 days, we’ll refund your payment.

How to Request a Refund

  • Email us at billing@paytogether.io with your account email and reason for the refund request.
  • We’ll review your request and provide an update via email.
  • Approved refunds are processed through Stripe and typically appear in your account within 5-10 business days.

Refund Limitations

  • Refunds are generally not provided for subscriptions older than 7 days, except in cases of billing errors or at our discretion.
  • If you’ve used Plus features extensively (for example, multiple data exports or heavy analytics usage), we may deny a refund request.
  • Refunds are returned to your original payment method.

Our Discretion

While we aim to be fair and flexible, all refund decisions are ultimately made at our discretion. We reserve the right to deny refunds if we suspect abuse of the policy.

Reactivating Your Subscription

  • Upgrade to Plus again through your account settings.
  • Your previous favorite selections and settings will be restored automatically.
  • Billing resumes at the current Plus price.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or through a notice in the app. Your continued use of PayTogether Plus after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
